As for my history, well… I began as many people here in Italy, where dollhouse hobby is still quite young: with a collection in installments bought at the newsstand more than 20 years ago. But the quality was fairly poor, so after a few numbers I began my research for something better. For lack of space I have begun as a 1:24 collector, so it was an even more strenuous task… Finding so little in this scale even around the world I decided to dig further and I began to buy directly from wholesalers and put together some layouts in 1:12 scale too. In fact in the meantime I have also come in contact with Fimo and it was love at first sight. After a while I decided to set up a website to try and sell my creations, because they were becoming too many to keep. I soon realized that here in Italy there was a big gap: a growing number of collectors but few shops (and they are mostly in big towns) and little on the web. So just a thought: why not try? And so my first online shop was launched in 2009: at first I had some hundreds of products, now I am over 9000. Not everything is in stock (I do not have a very big place, but I try to manage), some items are mostly on request, but what I try to offer is a wide variety of items: I would like to be able to satisfy nearly every kind of request, even the most unusual. My aim is to be able to say “Yes, I may have it” almost to everyone. With this purpose in mind, I look around for new wholesalers and artisans nearly every day, always keeping my ears open to customers’ suggestions. I also browse auction houses to be able to offer very high quality items at more affordable prices. The more useful lesson I learned in these years is that my taste and ideas counts for nothing, because people are so different that the same item used by two different customers is nearly unrecognizable. Then if someone ask for my opinion, I give it gladly, but I try not to influence too much, because it is beautiful to see where anyone creativity goes...
