Realistic render / stucco compound powder, formulated to add depth and detail to the dollhouse exterior; similar to Bromley's Realistic Brick Compound, but re-formulated to produce freehand rendered wall effects. It can be mixed with water or added to matt emulsion paint (not supplied), mixed thoroughly until smooth and easily spreadable; the proportion of material to water or paint is not critical.

Small lumps where the material is not mixed properly may appear during application: brush over until dispersed, or sand once dry. Apply with a paint brush or pallet knife: a fairly thin covering finished with a pallet knife or sponge brush gives a smooth finish, while a thicker covering finished with a pallet knife or stippled with a brush gives rougher finishes. If mixed with paint it is difficult to remove once dry, so testing on scrap wood or MDF first is strongly advised. If mixed with water it remains water soluble and is easy to remove when dry; once complete it should be sealed with suitable varnish. Brushes and tools wash off easily with water provided it has not set.

The material is off-white in colour and, if mixed with paint, this affects the finished colour; a further coat of emulsion or acrylic paint can be applied if needed. Coverage varies with proportions and thickness, roughly 5 - 20 sq. feet (4600 - 18600 sq. cm); a single bag is usually sufficient for most dollhouse applications. Made by Bromley Craft Products (ref.
